This document sets out the warranty offered by ModuCrafts ("ModuCrafts", "we", "us") on its modular furniture and interior products, and the terms and conditions that apply to it. By accepting delivery and installation of the Products, the Customer ("you") agrees to these terms.

§1. Definitions

• Products — all modular furniture, fittings and related works supplied and/or installed by ModuCrafts.
• Woodwork — factory-manufactured modular components: cabinet boxes (carcass), shutters, drawers, exposed panels, shelving and back panels.
• Board — the engineered wood / plywood core material used in the Woodwork.
• Hardware — hinges, drawer channels/slides, soft-close mechanisms, baskets, pull-outs and similar fittings.
• Third-Party Items — appliances, countertops, sinks, faucets, chimneys, hobs, lighting, glass and any item sourced from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and not manufactured by ModuCrafts.
• Handover Date — the date of completion of installation and handover, or the move-in date, whichever is earlier. The warranty period is calculated from this date.
• Original Purchaser — the person named on the original ModuCrafts order/works contract.

§2. Warranty Tiers

ModuCrafts offers its products across three tiers. The manufacturing and installation workmanship warranty that ModuCrafts provides depends on the tier purchased, as stated in your works contract:

"Flat" / non-depreciating: within the applicable period above, the coverage does not reduce year-on-year. Components found defective on inspection are repaired or replaced free of material cost for the full term, subject to these terms.

The tier of your project, and the specific Board and Hardware used, are recorded in your works contract / final quotation. The longer-term value of the Standard and Premium tiers lies primarily in superior Board and Hardware (which carry their own, longer manufacturer warranties — see Sections 4 and 5), not in a longer ModuCrafts workmanship period.

§3. ModuCrafts Manufacturing & Installation Warranty (Woodwork)

This is the warranty ModuCrafts itself provides and stands behind.

3.1 ModuCrafts warrants its Woodwork against defects in materials and workmanship in factory manufacturing, and against defects in installation workmanship, for the tier period stated in Section 2.

3.2 Where a covered defect is established on inspection, ModuCrafts will, at its option, repair or replace the affected component — including cabinet boxes, shutters, drawers and panels — free of material cost.

3.3 This warranty applies to Products that are properly maintained, used for normal domestic purposes, owned by the Original Purchaser, and remaining at their original installed location (see Section 8).

§4. Board Warranty (Manufacturer Pass-Through)

The Board used in your Products carries the warranty of its respective OEM / manufacturer. Coverage is governed by that manufacturer's warranty policy as amended from time to time. ModuCrafts facilitates these claims but does not extend or alter the manufacturer's terms.

The specific Board, its grade and the applicable warranty term for your project are recorded in your final quotation / works contract.

§5. Hardware Warranty (Manufacturer Pass-Through)

The Hardware used in your Products carries the warranty of its respective OEM / manufacturer. Coverage is governed by that manufacturer's warranty policy as amended from time to time. ModuCrafts facilitates replacement through the manufacturer but does not extend or alter their terms.

The specific Hardware, its series and the applicable warranty term for your project are recorded in your final quotation / works contract.

§6. Third-Party Items (Appliances, Countertops, Sinks, etc.)

Appliances (chimney, hob, ovens), countertops, sinks, faucets, glass, lighting and all other Third-Party Items are covered solely under their respective OEM/manufacturer warranties and are not covered under the ModuCrafts Manufacturing Warranty. ModuCrafts will facilitate the OEM claim and replacement timelines but is not liable beyond such facilitation.

§7. On-Site & Service Works Warranty

On-site and service works carried out by ModuCrafts — including painting, false ceiling, civil work, electrical and plumbing (where part of your scope) — carry a 1-year service warranty from the Handover Date against defects in workmanship. This is separate from, and shorter than, the modular Woodwork warranty in Section 3.

§8. Conditions for Validity

This warranty is valid only if all of the following are satisfied:

8.1 The Product is owned by the Original Purchaser and remains at its original installed location. The warranty does not transfer on sale of the property or relocation of the Product.

8.2 The Product has been properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.

8.3 The Product has not been modified, repaired, dismantled or re-installed by any third party not authorised by ModuCrafts.

8.4 Moisture and edge protection: edges, joints and cut surfaces must remain sealed and the Product must not be exposed to standing water, water-logging, leakage or prolonged dampness. Engineered Board (HDHMR/MDF/plywood) can swell or delaminate on water exposure; such damage is not covered, consistent with the Board manufacturer's own warranty exclusions.

8.5 The warranty has not otherwise expired or been voided under these terms.

§9. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

9.1 Normal wear and tear, and gradual deterioration of finishes, hinges, channels and surfaces with use.

9.2 Damage from moisture, water-logging, leakage, flooding, dampness, or improper sealing (see 8.4).

9.3 Colour fading or change due to sunlight/UV exposure; minor sheen or shade variation between batches of laminate, acrylic, membrane or veneer.

9.4 Natural characteristics of wood and veneer such as grain, colour, mineral streak and knot variation — these are not defects.

9.5 Damage from misuse, rough handling, accidents, overloading beyond rated capacity, pest/termite infestation of the surrounding environment, fire, or acts of God / force majeure.

9.6 Damage caused by abrasives, corrosive or harsh cleaning agents, or improper cleaning and maintenance.

9.7 Countertops, sinks, faucets, appliances and other Third-Party Items (covered under Section 6).

9.8 Any product or material not supplied by ModuCrafts, or ModuCrafts Products used in conjunction with such materials.

9.9 Upholstery, foam softening/flattening, and loose furniture, except where a specific written warranty is provided for such item.

§10. Labour & Transportation

10.1 For any approved warranty repair or replacement, the cost of labour, removal, transportation and re-installation is borne by ModuCrafts during the first 12 months from the Handover Date.

10.2 After the first 12 months, the defective covered part or material will be repaired/replaced as per the applicable warranty, but the associated labour, removal, transportation and re-installation charges are payable by the Customer. (This reflects that Board and Hardware manufacturers reimburse the cost of the defective material only, and not the cost of its removal or re-installation.)

§11. How to Make a Warranty Claim

11.1 Notify ModuCrafts within 10 days of detecting any defect, by phone or email at contact@moducrafts.in or +91 73778 73779.

11.2 Provide your order/final quotation / works contract reference for the Board or Hardware item in question.

11.3 ModuCrafts will arrange an inspection to verify the defect and confirm coverage.

11.4 Where the defect is covered, ModuCrafts will repair or replace the affected component, or facilitate the manufacturer's replacement for Board, Hardware and Third-Party Items, within a reasonable timeline subject to material/OEM availability.

§12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Repair or replacement of the affected covered component (or facilitation of the manufacturer's replacement) is the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty.

12.2 ModuCrafts' liability for Board, Hardware and Third-Party Items is limited to the extent of the respective manufacturer's warranty, and does not exceed it.

12.3 ModuCrafts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss exceeding the value of the affected component.

§13. General

In the event of any conflict between this document and a manufacturer's published policy in respect of Board, Hardware or Third-Party Items, the manufacturer's prevailing policy governs for those items.

13.1 These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising out of or in connection with this warranty.

13.2 ModuCrafts may amend these terms from time to time; the version applicable to your project is the one in force on your order date, as recorded in your works contract.
